Walking Edinbane
Around Edinbane are a couple of local and wonderful walking routes to explore minutes from your pod door.
Heading out of the Valinor gate, turn left and walk past the primary school.
At the junction turn left and walk past the world renown Edinbane lodge, turn left again in front the little classic blue car, walking up passed the Edinbane hall, and you'll be on the small road up to the cemetery.
On this route you'll have some fantastic waterfalls to your right, and you can see our pods and croft to the left.
Crossing over the bridge will take you to the cemetery itself.
Carrying on you can walk the path around the left edge of the Cemetery fence, taking you to some wonderful pools and further waterfalls, you can carry on ( waterproof boots advised) up past the power masts following the burn (river), seeing the village from a great new angle is it slopes upwards towards the Coishletter woods.
This isn't a loop route, so you have to come back on yourself to return.
These are located on the western edge of Edinbane, there is a small carpark in front the gates in, or it is a short (10-15 min) walk from the Valinor front gates.
Taking a left out of Valinor and walking past the Primary school, turn left at the junction, walking past the Edinbane lodge and over the small road bridge continue walking through the village and up the slight hill, until you reach the main road junction.
Stay left and the entrance the woods is the next left junction.
The woods are again a linear route rather than a loop, but they can be as long or as short an adventure as you like. The longer routes even join to the paths to Ben Aketil Wind farm & forest.

Where to eat in Edinbane
Edinbane Lodge
World renown AAA and Michelin Star restaurant, located in a 16th Century Hunting lodge in the center of Edinbane. Wonderful atmosphere & friendly staff. A culinary experience combining local ingredients with flare.

Traditional British Pub with a great array of ales, spirits and drinks. Good hearty Scottish food. Friendly local atmosphere and a pub garden in front for when it isn't raining!

The Filling Station
A great pitstop, for British style takeaway food. Located in the layby on the western side of Edinbane. Friendly, hearty traditional, from fish and chips to burgers. Check out the cakes!

Locally sourced ingredients, and tempting menu, with a big selection of Coffees, teas, and sweet treats! All in a beautiful setting, their renovation featured on a BBC Interior design show.
They have seasonal specials, but you can never go wrong with their soup of the day and toasty. Ask them about their Polish doughnuts.
